Intel
The northeast blow on sunday have turned up our northeast waters. Bass fishing has remained consistant post the blow and the as the fish are in tight to show chasing back on the west side of the bay. Bluefish have made their way through the canal and are now chasing the pogy schools as far north as Scituate. The water has cooled down a few degrees though and is now sitting at 68-70 degress in the bay. The water is turned up however and should take a few days to clear up.
Bait Intel
Macs are starting to show up more in the inshoe waters scituate, greenharbor, the gurnet and the east end you can catch tinkers. They are even mixing in with the large pogy schools off plymouth. Wood end down along the backside is also still holding good volume of macs. Striper seeem to be prefering the smaller macks to some of the very large pogys that have been around this year.
Inshore Intel
The canal action has slowed over the past week but is still producing a number of keeps. On the bay shorts are beign caught jigging bucktails on billingsgate, and on live mackeral off barnstable, the fingers, and sandwich. Monomoy continues to fish well with good number of commercial sized fish.
Bonito fishing is hottest of the vineyard down and around the hooter and tashmoo flats. Trolling and casting tins to surface feeds are working in the area. Still waiting for the Albies to show up in numbers its only a matter of time.
Offshore Intel
Giants fishing on Stellwagen continues to produce good numbers. Three 80-90" fish were weighed in at Green Harbor today from the southwest corner from network members all on live bait. Middlebank is starting to fish better with a mix size fish and plenty of bait including squid which is wrecking havoc on hook baits. Haddock and shark fishing continues to fish great on the east side of stellwagen in the 250ft range just inside the edge.
