The Herring are back and are currently stacked up in local herring runs as they making their push upstream to spawn. As always the first sign of migratory striped bass will not be far beind.  Already as of Saturday April 20th there are reports the first school bass caught for the season with sea lice.  2 reports out of Buzzards Bay / wareham and another out of Falmouth.  As always the Herring are a welcome sight and a kickoff to the New England season.
